Table of Content

Slider is one of the most commonly used design elements on the web and we have added a base component dedicated to it.

Anatomy of a slider

Once the Slider is on the page we can see that the component has these children:

  1. The Mask - which contains all the slides

  2. The previous/next buttons

  3. The slide navigation

Creating and switching slides

The Slider comes with default slides. You can add more slides in 3 ways:

  1. Right-click on a slide on the canvas and select duplicate.

  2. Select a current slide and copy-paste to duplicate.

  3. Open the Widget panel and click on the Slide element to add a new slide.

NOTE: you can also use dynamic data to print out slides. You can map data to a single slide, or you can even use a repeater to print out multiple slides using data from an extension's collection.

Adding background images/videos to slides

A slide is just an element, you can add a background image in 2 ways:

  1. Add an image element to the slide.

  2. Configure the background image of the slide's element via the Style panel.

If you want to add a video, you can add a video element to the slide.

Adding additional content to slides

Slides can contain other components as well. You can add new elements such as container, heading, text, and more to the slide and style them

Configuring settings

From the Configuration Panel, there are many settings to control the behavior of the slider. You can use the tooltip/help to check the purpose of each setting.

The slider supports responsive layouts and you will find a section dedicated to responsive layouts inside the slider's Configuration Panel. The right-to-left language setting is also available to give better support for these languages.
