There are many libraries out there that support swipe events such as the famouse jQuery
and even gesture detection such as HammerJs
. In this experiment, we will create a very tiny plugin to detect the 4 basic swipe events (swipedown, swipeup, swipeleft, swiperight). This experiment can be useful for those who want to understand how swipe events can be detected, and the plugin can be useful in simple usage cases where we may not want to include a complicated library just to detect swipe events.
