Tasks are the building blocks of any project in Nilead. They define what needs to get done, who is responsible, and when it’s due. Whether you're organizing a project launch or managing support requests, tasks help you keep everything on track. This guide shows you how to create, edit, and delete them.
Access to a Nilead workspace with Project Management features enabled
At least one project created
Staff role with permission to add/edit tasks
There are three ways to add a new task in Nilead:
Go to Projects from the main dashboard.
Open an existing project.
Click Add Task.
Fill in task details:
Title
Description (optional)
Assignee
Due date
Tags (optional)
Estimated duration (optional)
Click Save.

Inside a project, navigate to the Milestones tab.
Select a milestone.
Click Add Task under that milestone.
Complete the task details and save.

Press Ctrl + K (or open the Quick Menu manually).
Search for “Add Task”.
Choose the destination project/milestone.
Enter task details and save.

Tags: Add helpful labels to group and filter tasks later. New tags entered inline will be automatically created.
Estimated vs. Actual Duration:
You can log actual duration after the task is completed.
This helps compare planned vs. real workload, improving future time estimates.
To make changes to an existing task:
Go to the task inside the project or milestone view.
Click Edit.
You can update:
Task title and description
Assigned team member
Due date or status
Followers
Tags
Click Save.

If a task is no longer needed:
Open the task.
Click Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
⚠️ Warning: Deleting a task will also remove all files attached to it. This action is irreversible.

1. Can I create tasks without assigning them?
Yes. Tasks can be unassigned, then delegated later.
2. Will the system notify the assigned person?
Yes. Assigned users will receive a notification and can view their tasks in their dashboard.
3. Can I move a task between milestones or projects?
Task reassignment between projects may be limited. For milestone shifts within a project, use the task editor.
4. Can I see how much time each task took?
Yes. Log duration after completion to compare with your original estimate.
5. Can I bulk-delete or archive tasks?
Currently, tasks must be deleted one by one. Archiving may be added in future updates.
