Domain


A domain is the URL, or the website address, where your customers go to find your store online. Understanding how domains work is not an easy task, but there are only a couple of main points you need to know to set up your custom domain.

To help you understand some of the terminology, we’ve provided you with a list of common terms that you might encounter when working with domains throughout the articles.

Domain is a key factor to define the success or failure of your site.

If you want to customers easily remember your domain name, spend more time to name it.


Domain name

A domain name is the address that people use to visit your website on the internet. It appears in the address bar of your web browser and is linked to a specific IP address.

Domain provider

A domain provider is a company that will register your domain name for you. Typically, you purchase a domain on a subscription basis and you pay a regular fee to your domain provider to keep using your domain name.

Domain management

To manage your domains, on your Nilead admin, , open the Quick Menu and search for Domain.

Domain type

In Nilead, there are 2 types of domains: alias and redirect

  1. Alias domain: is the type of domain that can be used to access your website.

  2. Redirect domain: is the type of domain that will be automatically redirected to the master domain.


Master domain

A master domain is the primary (official) domain for your website, you can have only one master domain.

Add & Update domain

  1. Click Create icon to add new domain, or click on an existing domain to edit it.

  2. Enter and update domain information.

  3. Click Save once you are done.


Set primary domain

To set primary domain, turn on Master switcher when add or update domain.

Important Primary domain is unique of your site.


Delete domain

  1. Click the checkbox next to each existing domain to mark the entries you want to delete.

  2. Select the Bulk delete action from the Bulk view dropdown.

NOTE This action is irreversible
