Your domain is your online identity. This guide walks you through adding, managing, and optimizing your custom domain on the Nilead platform — including setting a primary domain, handling redirects, and leveraging Cloudflare for performance and security.
A Nilead website already created
Admin or Manager access to the Nilead dashboard
A registered domain from a domain provider (e.g. Namecheap, GoDaddy, Google Domains)
Optional: a free Cloudflare account for DNS/CDN setup
A domain is the web address people use to reach your site (like www.yourstore.com). It’s linked to your IP address and helps build trust and brand recognition.
Choosing the right domain name is key — pick something short, relevant, and memorable.

Log in to your Nilead Admin Panel
Open the Quick Menu (keyboard shortcut: /)
Search for Domain
Click to open the Domain Management view

In Nilead, there are 2 types of domains: alias and redirect
Alias domain: is the type of domain that can be used to access your website.
Redirect domain: is the type of domain that will be automatically redirected to the master domain.
A master domain is the primary (official) domain for your website, you can have only one master domain.
Other terms: base domain, primary domain
Click Create icon to add new domain, or click on an existing domain to edit it.
Enter and update domain information.
Click Save once you are done.
To set primary domain, turn on Master switcher when add or update domain.
Important Primary domain is unique of your site.
In the Domain list, check the box beside the domain(s)
Use the Bulk Action dropdown → select Delete
Confirm the action

Register for a free Cloudflare account
Add your domain
Point your domain’s nameservers to Cloudflare
Add DNS records as per Nilead’s DNS instructions
Optional: Enable SSL and basic security rules

1. Can I use multiple domains on my site?
Yes. You can add multiple alias or redirect domains, but only one can be marked as your master domain.
2. What happens if I delete the master domain?
Your site will remain online, but you’ll need to assign a new master domain immediately to ensure SEO consistency and avoid broken links.
3. Do I need to buy my domain through Nilead?
No. You can buy your domain from any provider and connect it to Nilead through DNS configuration.
4. Is SSL included?
Yes. Nilead automatically provides free SSL via Let’s Encrypt when your domain is connected correctly.
5. Can I use Cloudflare and Nilead together?
Absolutely — it’s highly recommended. Just make sure your DNS points correctly to Nilead’s servers.
